| Paper ¦ List of campaign documents ¦ List of expat organisations etc ¦ What other countries do |
| Welcome to Euro-citizens.com This is a personal website, not allied to any political party, and with no commercial purposes. The main purpose of this site is to assist the growing campaign to get votes for British expatriates who are disenfranchised after they have lived abroad for more than 15 years. Some people might wonder why we should still want a vote if we have lived abroad for so long. It should not really be necessary, in this day and age, to argue the case when British soldiers are dying trying to bring democracy to Iraq and Afghanistan but you can read the arguments in a Paper I have written and submitted to various agencies. Although this site is called Euro-citizens.com this is an issue that affects British expatriates wherever they live, and contributions are welcome from all. I am also aware that other countries have similar restrictions, for example Denmark. Expatriates from these countries are also welcome to contribute and use materials on this website. If you support the campaign for the national franchise for expatriates, please sign the petition on the Downing Street website. One problem with mounting this campaign is that expatriates are scattered all over the globe, so to help and encourage communication I am providing a section where various expat organisations can list their websites. Finally I should explain the ads on the site are there to defray costs of creating and running the site.
